Our Grand Bahamas bonefishing guides are native to the area and all have over 20 years experience fishing the area. At East End Lodge, we happen to have the best. They’re anglers who have grown up on the flats and whose reputations for successfully guiding and sharing their skills are legendary, not only in the Bahamas but worldwide.
Willis Munroe
Willis Munroe is a McClean’s town native with over 20 years of experience as a guide. Any trip with Willis will surely be both fun and educational. His experience coupled with his gift of teaching makes times spent with him on the flats truly unforgettable.
Harryo “HB” Bevans
With his 25 years of bonefishing expertise, Harryo’s knowledge of the fishery is unparalleled. His fish spotting ability is rivaled by few guides. Your trip with Harryo is sure to be filled with plenty of opportunities to land that trophy bonefish you’ve been dreaming about.
Cecil Leathen
A native of McCLeans Town, Cecil is a founding partner of East End Lodge. He is a world-class bonefishing guide with 26 years of experience guiding anglers from around the world who fished with him at Deep Water Cay. His convivial personality, innovative style, friendly manner and great instruction is sure to make your trip one you will never forget.
Simeon Higgs
Also hailing from McClean’s Town, Simeon is a lifelong fisherman with over 26 years of experience guiding the target-rich flats in the waters surrounding East End Lodge. Simeon is an expert who can help fly casters of all levels.
Walter Reckley
Walter is another McCLean’s Town local who has 32 years of bonefishing expertise. Walter is an excellent instructor for those making their first bonefishing trip. His warm and calm demeanor will keep you settled down when casting at that trophy fish.
Geno “G.T.” Thomas
Geno has over 20 years experience and like all of our guides, his experience is unrivaled. Being a native of McClean’s town, his knowledge of the local fishery is unmatched. Two words that definitely define Geno are: Fun and Enthusiastic. A trip with him is sure to have you catching fish and laughing all the way back to the docks.
Perry Demeritte (1970-2016)
In 2016, we lost Captain Perry after courageously battling a serious illness for several years. Spending 24 years as a guide, all that knew him, loved his instructional skills, ability, patience, convivial personality and contagious smile and will be dearly missed by all.
